When I got the acceptance letter from Columbia yesterday, I was over the moon. Then acceptances followed from UPenn and Princeton and I thought I was the luckiest person on the entire planet…then I got a message from Stanford…and I GOT ACCEPTED!! I now think I’m the luckiest person in the whole universe. Thank you SO MUCH for everything! Your insight on how to make an application scholarly while still reflecting my personality helped make this happen. I would have never guessed in my wildest dreams that I would be able to get into my to-the-moon-and-back dream school. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
Good news for our son, he was ACCEPTED early decision to Dartmouth!! We are thrilled for him. Thanks so much for all your advice and help!
Hi Mimi and Michele,
I am so happy to inform you that I will be a member of the Dartmouth class of 2016!!! I cannot thank you enough for all of your help with the whole application process. Those four days in Boston were well worth every minute. Thank you again for all of your guidance. I am so thrilled!!!

K got admitted to Amherst yesterday! Thank you SO much for all of your help. He is thrilled to be into his first choice and relieved that he can have a stress free senior year (and go skiing over Christmas break instead of staying home and doing applications). We’ll see you again in 18 months when my 10th grade son goes through the process. Thanks again!!
— Parent, Amherst Class of 2016
Good news – I was accepted by Vanderbilt Early Decision I on Friday! Thank you guys for all the advice and editing; it helped more than you can imagine.
— Student, ABC 2011
J was accepted to UPenn through ED. Fanatastic!!! Thanks for all your help. I’m sure ABC had a lot to do with it. I’m one happy Dad.
— Parent, ABC 2011
I just wanted to let you know that I’ve decided to go to Columbia in the fall. I’m so grateful for what I learned at Boot Camp and I know it contributed to my success. I would love to help others with their essays since I just went through the whole application process. If you ever need an ABC graduate to work with your students count me in.
— Columbia, Class of 2015
I received a letter from Stanford today stating my likely acceptance as long as I maintain my academic and personal conduct! I can’t believe I am one of the few who received a likely letter! I am beyond thrilled and would like to thank all of you for the amazing guidance and support you have provided!
I got into my first choice, Harvard. I am so excited. Thank you so much for all your help. I’m going to send my brother to you; he’s a freshman now.
— Student, Harvard Class of 2015
I want to let you guys know that I got in to all 11 of my schools!
I was even accepted into the Ben Franklin Scholars program at Penn and the Alumni Memorial Scholars program at Colgate! And no rejections or waitlists! Thank you so much for everything! I can assure you that my little sister will definitely be coming to the program in a few years when it is her time. I would even like to come work as an editor one summer, if my schedule permits and you two would be willing to take me. I’ll be in touch! Thank you again!
— Student, ABC 2010
Well, the decisions all arrived tonight and we owe you guys still more thanks as D was accepted at both Yale and Princeton, his other “first choice” schools. Now he has the high class problem of deciding between them and Stanford. A dark horse is Northwestern’s 7 year HPME medical program, which also accepted him. Thanks again to both of you and your great Boot Camp team for sharing your wisdom and experience.
— Parent, ABC 2010
I got into Wharton today!!!!!! You guys were terrific—I just know that Application Boot Camp made a difference!!!! I don’t know whether it was the suggestions you gave me for the Common Application or the fact that I specified my area of academic interest so precisely or your recommendation that I disclose an obstacle which I have made strides to overcome, but whatever it was, it worked!! M. was HUGE as well. Thanks for everything.
— Student, Wharton Class of 2015 (POWER ABC BOOT CAMP)
I AM IN!!!! I GOT INTO MIDDLEBURY!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING, YOU MADE THIS POSSIBLE.
— Student, Middlebury Class of 2015
Ladies, you’ve done it again with our second Boot Camp child. J was just accepted early action to Stanford! We are truly grateful for your wisdom and enthusiasm.

Hi! I just wanted to let you know that I was accepted to Johns Hopkins University under the Early Decision Program. I wanted to thank all of you for helping me improve my application. I couldn’t have done it without you! Thank you!
— Student, Johns Hopkins Class of 2015 (POWER ABC BOOT CAMP)
Just wanted to let you guys know that I was accepted to Yale EA! Thank you for everything: Application Boot Camp gave me an incredible head start to the process. Again, my thanks to all the staff/editors and of course yourselves. I am so happy that things have worked out so well so far.
— Student, Yale Class of 2015
Brown released its EDs this afternoon, and I WAS ACCEPTED!! I’m still in a bit of a state of shock…but I’m really, really excited to be going there. I wanted to thank you each again for your incredible assistance with this process. I know that my essays, etc. that I honed under your expert tutelage at Boot Camp helped set me apart. It’s so competitive out there, it’s nuts…unfortunately there’s a lot more bad news than good among the Early Action/Early Decision applicants I know, and I’m just so grateful that I’m going to be able to realize my dream and attend Brown. Thank you again for everything – YOU GUYS TOTALLY ROCK!
— Student, Brown Class of 2015
Our son learned today that he was accepted at Brown ED so he’s on cloud nine, as are we. The Regular Decision application bonfire will commence tonight! Many thanks for all of your help and support. Brown was his very strong first choice.
— Parents, Brown Class of 2015
H just heard from Tulane and Cornell and got into both! (Tulane tried to tempt her with a 22K/yr scholarship.) It is so wonderful and you have done such a stellar job to support her. She is so happy. Thanks for everything!”
— Parent, Cornell Class of 2015
We got a letter today. This one is unambiguous. N will be offered admission to Stanford Class of 2015. To say that N is excited would be an understatement. I can’t even talk to her she is so excited. I am sure she will drop you a note later when she catches her breath. On behalf of our family, thank you again for assisting N in putting her best application forward. We will always be grateful to you!
— Parent, Stanford Class of 2015
I have been a faithful follower of all of your work, and I purchased the bootcamp (download) last year. I even went to one of your workshops in Connecticut, and I spoke to Michele several times over the phone. I’m happy to report that my daughter was accepted to Harvard, early action. I still cannot believe this has happened to us. It is, and it will be, an unforgettable moment. I thank you for all the excellent advice and guidance you provide in your books, newsletters, website, bootcamp, videos, etc. I have read them all! Thank you!
— Parent, Harvard Class of 2016
When we first spoke, I told you our son dreamed of going to Duke University… last night his dream came true. On the field of competitive admissions… well played… very well played. Your sure hand and deft guidance gave him both the knowledge and confidence to succeed. Warmest regards from two very grateful parents.
— Parents, Duke Class of 2016
I found out today that I got into PRINCETON!!! I was so happy and I could not have done it without you!! Thank you so much for all of your help!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
— Student, Princeton Class of 2016
I got into University of Chicago. Thanks so much!! I am really excited!!
Thanks again for guiding me! You’ve got a system that WORKS!!
— Student, UChicago Class of 2016
I can’t even put in words – A’s whole family was waiting overnight in front of the computer. Exactly as Penn’s website stated, 4am Shanghai time the result came out, and the whole family is so joyful. I’m glad to see many of your students have achieved great results. A is really fortunate to have you. And we are so appreciative for your endless effort and support through and beyond the Personal Boot Camp for A. IT MADE THE DIFFERENCE! We really have confidence in you, Michele, and the PBC team. Personal Boot Camp provided her with an excellent application strategy according to her academic profile and extracurricular accomplishments, and an action plan in all aspects and areas of the application process. It’s funny that yesterday A’s first response to one of her schoolmates who wasn’t accepted by Columbia’s ED was, “She would have gotten in if M. helped her.” On behalf of A, her family, and myself, I would like to say THANK YOU for everything! We will definitely make recommendations of your professionalism and expertise to families and friends, because yours is the best.
— Family member, U Penn Class of 2015
I just have to share the good news with you. Our son was accepted this week to his first choice school: Carleton College. I want to thank you again for the boost your materials gave to him during the application process. I feel certain he would not have had a shot at acceptance at Carleton without the benefit of yourself-guided Application Boot Camp materials. He used your advice to develop an application that helped the admissions committee look past his 3.3 GPA and lack of hooks while highlighting his awards, achievements, strengths and skills. Thanks for your part in the process.
— Parent, Carleton College Class of 2015
Hi-just a belated thank you to all of you for helping our daughter improve her applications. All 3 of us feel she has a better chance of admission now, and we so appreciate all of your efforts. You are quite an impressive bunch, and we will certainly be recommending you to others. M.-you are superhuman. Thanks again.
— D.&M. (Parents)
I think that you are amazing and I can’t thank you enough. I know that the application process is a bit like creating a mosaic and that each little piece creates a picture of a larger whole. But I do think that the essays are the way for the student to show things about themselves that might not be apparent from the statistics, or to help reinforce the other things that the admissions counselor reads in the recommendations, and support the statistics they see. I thought that my daughter’s essays, especially the supplement essays, were excellent and so I wanted to send a sincere thank you for your coaching and input. It is incredible that you helped to steer both girls into their dream school and you obviously have an incredible talent for what you are doing. I hope you enjoy it!
— Parent, Brown Class of 2015 and 2013
GUESS WHAT! I AM GOING TO BROWN!!!!!!!! I received my acceptance letter on Monday!
And I was crying so much from happiness that my brother thought I got rejected. I am SO excited and SO happy and I am SO THANKFUL for all your help! You really made my application amazing and it would not have been what it was without you. I owe a big part of my acceptance to you and I really appreciate all the help and advice you gave me. Not only did you immensely improve my essays, but you dealt with my procrastination as well. Without your guidance I would have been rather lost, and I probably would not have been able to say that I get to spend my next four years at Brown University with my sister. (She says thanks as well! We’re excited to go to the same college!) Attending Brown has been my dream and you played a big part in helping me achieve it. Once again thank you so much. I am more grateful than you know.
— Student, Brown Class of 2015
It is with enormous pleasure that I learned this afternoon of my acceptance to the Pomona College class of 2015, Early Decision. I am deeply appreciative of all your time, effort and patience editing with me. I have you to thank for this success. I learned a lot from our process and I hope that I have become a more thoughtful writer under your precise tutelage. I’m excited to continue my studies in Chinese, math, and the sciences in southern California near my brother and other family. It sounds funny, but I’ll miss all our sessions. I hope you’ll still be doing this when I am applying to grad school! Again, many thanks for your terrific help.
— Student, Pomona Class of 2015
Thank you seems inadequate for all your support this fall, but my husband and I are saying it with feeling! Your help made all the essay writing as manageable as it’s probably possible to make it. Eight school applications, count ‘em! Our son has worked hard and as his parents we are thrilled for him. We are in your debt. I do hope that our paths cross one day.
— Parent, Pomona Class of 2015
Thanks to Mike and M., my GRE scores and essays for the application to the Harvard Graduate School of Education were enhanced quite a bit. Their expertise and input have been invaluable throughout the process and it has been a true pleasure to work with these remarkable guys. You have an outstanding team!
Thanks a lot for everything! I couldn’t have done this without you two. You were there with me every step of the way from past three years. I have no words to thank you.
— A., Student, Stanford Class of 2015
We could not have done this without you. During this process I got an additional gift; two friends! I can safely say that Mimi knows a lot more about my son than I do. No kidding. In the past two years, he has shared his desires, ambitions, fears frustration, etc. with you. You were like his confidant. He will never forget you both in his life. I am not sure how you can do this. Each year you embrace hundreds of new kids who become a part of your life! That is amazing. Thanks again.
— Parent, Stanford Class of 2015
Thank you guys SO MUCH for your help…it’s literally changed my life!
— Student, Cornell Class of 2015
I cannot thank you enough for your help with our daughter’s early acceptance to Columbia. Your skills and knowledge guided us through this difficult journey. You were very professional and gave us the most logical, unbiased advice. You were such a great emotional support when we were going through this high anxiety process. Thanks for everything.
— Parent, Columbia Class of 2015
A has told me that before he enrolled with you, he always assumed that English was his hard subject. Remember I even wrote to you saying this. He considered himself a bad writer. When he got his first C+ on an essay he asked your help as a sophomore. You guided him to make an outline and check with the teacher. You even got his next few essays proof read by your staff. He was dreading about writing essays for college. You were the first ones to recognize that he was not a bad writer but needed help. Now, he is doing so well thanks to you.
— Parent, Stanford Class of 2015
We miss you. Your advice was sooo vital for us in the last three years. I used to ask you college related and unrelated stuff. I have gained two friends in the process. I am a bit nervous that the contract will be over. My husband was teasing me that I need weaning away period from you ladies! You two are the best!
